G.I. Health

Gastrointestinal Health

The GI Tract is responsible for providing nutrients to the entire body, and having balanced digestion is pivotal in building and maintaining good health. This is becoming increasingly difficult in a world of processed foods and fad-health crazes. In addition, the majority of the immune system lives around and interfaces with the GI Tract. The gut is home to a—hopefully—diverse ecosystem of microorganisms that can massively support health or cause significant disease.

Digestion is a hundred-step process, and there are many areas in which it can break down. Because of this, treatment is a very individualized process.

Sample Issues

  • stomach pain

  • cramping

  • fatigue

  • loose stool

  • constipation

  • heartburn

  • bloating

  • nausea

Treatment

G.I. Treatment often starts with lab tests that give a comprehensive analysis of the digestive tract and can immediately identify the lack (or excess) of gut bacteria. Allergy testing may also be necessary. Treatment plans vary by individual case but can include a change in diet, nutrient and or / peptide supplementation, intermittent fasting to reset the stomach, and more.
