IV Therapy
Intravenous Therapy
IV Therapy serves a number of physiologic functions including hydration, nutrient replacement, high-dose nutrient therapy, mitochondrial support, oxidative therapy, antibiotic therapy, or to support optimal athletic performance. We recommend specific IV formulations when the body has been stressed by acute or chronic infection, injury, chemotherapy, alcohol, or trauma.

We have a few formulations that allow people to schedule carte blanche, as they are very safe and can give a boost to physiology, immune function, and general well-being. Formulations below:

-
Hydration IV
-
Vita-Mineral Boost (similar to Meyers)
-
Immunity Boost
-
Athletic Recovery

IV Therapy starts at $175 per session.
If you are interested in recieving a non-standard IV, please schedule a consult with Dr Montanaro to discuss alternative formulations
Plaquex IV Therapy
Plaquex IV involves intravenous administration of phosphatidylcholine (PC), a natural substance found in cell membranes throughout the body. Plaquex IV is sold in packages of 5 sessions, done consecutively 1-2 times per week. It has various applications including:
Cardiovascular Health
Plaquex IV therapy can be supportive in the treatment of cardiovascular conditions. It can assist in the reduction of plaque buildup in arteries by enhancing lipid metabolism and reducing oxidative stress. This improves blood flow and reduces the risk of cardiovascular events like heart attacks and strokes.
Improved Lipid Profile
Phosphatidylcholine is involved in lipid metabolism, which can help improve the lipid profile in everyone, most significantly in individuals with dyslipidemia (abnormal levels of lipids in the blood).
Antioxidant Properties
Plaquex can help reduce oxidative damage to cells and tissues. This is beneficial for overall cellular health and may contribute to the prevention of chronic diseases associated with oxidative stress, such as cardiovascular, kidney, and liver disease. In particular, PC is crucial for liver function and supports liver and kidney health.

The Mechanism
Plaquex IV is a formulation of phosphatidylcholine (PC) which has been made soluble (in micelle form) through the addition of a bile salt called deoxycholate. It is then given as an intravenous (IV) treatment through a catheter. It constitutes 80% of what makes up lung surfactant, 30% of the dry weight of the brain, and is essential in the healthy function of all cell membranes in the body. In particular, it is noted to be beneficial in research in liver and kidney disease, arterial blockages with plaque, and other conditions such as psoriasis. It may also provide benefit in reversing certain dysfunctions built up over time from aging, such as neurodegeneration.
The Nutritional Connection
The modern diet presents humans with alternate oils and fats, which are then assimilated into the lipid membrane of each of our cells. These different lipids gradually replace the phosphatidylcholine, degrading the natural state of our lipid membranes. This introduction of industrial fats has fundamentally altered the function of every organ.
This change in diet, along with the deterioration of cell membranes because of aging, toxin exposure, stress, heavy metals, smoking, etc means that membranes throughout the body are not at peak performance. Some people can gain significant benefits from cycling Plaquex through the body and re-introducing phosphatidylcholine into the lipid layer.
