The FAST Way to Health
Nutritional Analysis, Fasting Training, and Semaglutide for Weight Loss + Correction of Metabolic Syndrome
What's Semaglutide, and Why Fast?
Primitive humans, and wild animals, through all of time, did not always have food. Chemical preservatives and refrigeration were not available to give them constant access to food of all types. When hunting and gathering was successful, when crops were in season...they ate, and the powerful peptide hormone insulin helped store excess nutrition for the inevitable times of fasting to come. During fasting times, other powerful hormones such as cortisol and growth hormone would equip humans with the energy they needed to flourish.
This slow-moving rhythm —input of energy, output of energy— governed the flow of life. Fast forward to 21st Century America where the average person eats six times per day. A never-ending series of insulin pulses are secreted into the blood, resulting in an almost continuous physiology of insulin dominance. Our "modern" bodies, prepared for a time of fasting that never comes, are pushed farther and farther out of balance, and are gradually destroyed through a process known as "metabolic syndrome."

Metabolic syndrome, a cluster of diabetic-related diseases, is a great cause of human suffering and the #1 cause of premature death in modern times. Diabetes alone represents a considerable percentage of medical costs, running in the range of $400 billion annually in the US alone. Metabolic syndrome has been defined loosely as some combination of elevated abdominal fat, with elevations of blood sugar, blood fats, and blood pressure, eventually leading to an increased risk of numerous conditions that cause premature death in America. Metabolic syndrome is the result of chronic relentless insulin stimulation in the body—diabetes simply being the end result when the pancreas finally gives out from overuse, and insulin no longer functions.

Improve your knowledge of nutritional wellness and reclaim good health
There are other factors involved, mineral deficiencies and excesses, quality of food, man-made environmental toxins that sabotage our subtle physiology in countless ways, etc, which is why Nutritional Advising is included in this program. Bottom line: Times of not eating are important for body cleansing and regulation, and the energy required to process and store excess food is by no means trivial. Fasting—when done right—can become a vital part of reclaiming good health.
Scientific analysis across all species has shown that a 50% reduction in caloric intake is associated with a 50% increase in life span
Take a moment to let that sink in. Thus we believe that all humans should be competent and confident in their ability to fast. Fear is then replaced with understanding and understanding provides the power to consciously enjoy the inherent health that is our birthright.
Semaglutide, a recently discovered peptide hormone, has the ability to essentially provide forced physiologic fasting. This program is intended for weight loss and correction of metabolic syndrome utilizing semaglutide in conjunction with fasting training and supervision by a certified dietician, tracked by body composition analysis. We are offering this program for patients wishing to lose weight, and/or address patterns of metabolic syndrome and pre-diabetes. We will not offer this program per se for insulin-dependent diabetic patients as they will require more intense monitoring. Such patients can, however, arrange to see our staff separately, including receiving General Nutritional Advising
